My main reason for choosing this career is simply just to make a change in children's lives. My goal is to teach Business Studies on Grade 8 and 9 level. Mainly to get the attention of the learners to maybe further their studies in Accounting. I think the problem today with the volume of learners failing accounting or being scared is that the ground basic study material has not been layed correctly in Gr. 8 and 9. If the foundation has been layed in Gr. 8 and 9 the learner should not be struggling with the main subject accounting in Grade 10 and the "fear" that they have for the subject would also be something of the past.
